I have been a full-time artist since 2002, when I left behind a career in corporate marketing to live in Sonoma County (north of San Francisco) and follow my lifelong passion for painting, drawing and fiber arts. I have studied with San Francisco and North Bay Area painters Michael Loffredo, Sandra Speidel, Maurice Lapp, Lisa Beerntsen, Philip Buller, Robert Dvorak, and Don Feasel.
During the 1960s when I was a student at the University of Bordeaux in France, I began a lifelong exploration and study of the work of painters such as Toulouse Lautrec, Denis, Vuillard, Degas, Bonnard, Matisse. In addition to painting, in 2007 I began re-visiting my earlier interest in fiber arts by creating multimedia pieces that incorporate clay, wire, and fibers that I have spun, woven and/or needle-felted.
Once again I will be greeting the public for Art @ the Source on June 1-2 and 8-9, 2024--Sat. and Sun.10:00 to 5:00. My art barn studio 45A
is located at 16120 Watson Road, Guerneville, CA 95446. My second-story 600 square foot art barn studio will feature a new series called "Relationships". Amother new series features semi-abstract landscapes inspired by the beauty of the Russian River wine country in Sonoma County, CA. For a map and catalog of this self-guided open studio tour of 130+ Sonoma County artists please visit https://www.artatthesource.org/
NOTE: I am almost always open year round for studio appointments. You can contact me at 707-869-9419 or croneclown@comcast.net.
