Pandemic & fire update

Covid-19 has turned everyone's life upside down this year. The impact on us artists in Sonoma County is that instead of participating in one or both of Sonoma County's two annual open studio programs in June and October, this year 140 of us are participating in a new kind of art event: SAVOS 2020: SebArts Virtual Open Studios   This online event will be active the entire month of September 2020. Each artist will have 6 pieces of art for sale in the website's shop.

The unprecedented Walbridge wildfire, which had been burning in Armstrong Woods State Park and other wooded areas nearby since mid August,  forced my husband and me to evacuate our property  with our 2 cats for 10 traumatic days. Fortunately, the heroic team of fire fighters saved our little valley and homes from destruction, and for that we are extremely grateful; hundreds of other families were not so lucky.

We returned home from our mandated exile on August 27 .  Having to cope with BOTH the pandemic situation AND these wildfires with the SAVOS event just days away, I have decided to implement a new plan as follows:

My art barn studio is filled with all the new art featured on this website. I would love to share all this with you in a way that best protects the health and safety of us all  --i.e. with social distanced, masks required, sanitzer-stocked visits.  So instead of inviting everyone to follow the signs to my studio for 2 weekends, I am inviting any of you in my geography to visit my studio during the weekend of September 12 & 13 Sat/Sun from 10-5.  You can also visit any time during September by appointment. You can contact me  --either by phone -- (707) 869-9419 -- or email:   I'm available for same-day visits--or you can plan ahead.  Or, you can schedule a visit to my studio anytime during the year--pandemic conditions or not.
The Maresca art barn studio is located at 16120 Watson Road, Guerneville, CA 95446.
Just a mile north of downtown Guerneville and a block west off Armstrong Woods Road.
